84-year-old war veteran amazes airport staff in betting on prints

The 84-year-old war veteran Maggi DeSanti challenged an officer at Arizona airport last Tuesday for a game of exercises from her army training. The brave woman in her old war clothes threw her walking stick aside and, to the great surprise of the bystanders, pressed herself ten times.

DeSanti was waiting for her flight of honor that brought war veterans free of charge to memorial sites in Washington DC, when she challenged a security guard to press on. With loud applause, and with a radiant smile, the woman showed what she had left of herself. Her opponent in the friendly challenge was clearly impressed by her ability.

The visit to the exhibition afterwards was also a unique experience for the retired nurse. At one of the exhibitions, she found a photo on which she posed with a few war companions. The woman herself had kept a copy of that photo with her for years as a precious memory.
