Egypt gave a military funeral on Wednesday to Hosni Mubarak, who was president of the country for three decades before being expelled from power during the Arab Spring protests.

Mubarak died Tuesday at the age of 91 in a hospital in Cairo. Current President Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi also took part in the funeral ceremony, which took place under strict security measures.

An army helicopter brought the body of the former General of the Air Force to a mosque in eastern Cairo, as was shown on the state television.
