The Ethiopian capital marks Car Free Day to promote a healthy lifestyle and fight against air pollution. A day without cars movement in the capital city of Ethiopia.

Without the usual traffic jams that clutter the capital, Sunday football fans have taken to the streets. They took advantage of large avenues free from traffic and smoked to chain meetings. In small groups, sports enthusiasts or Sunday joggers have engaged in several sets of exercises.

The car-free day was initiated by the government of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who came to power last April after the resignation of his predecessor. An initiative that does not displease the inhabitants who participated in this monthly meeting. The event also allowed surfers asphalt to demonstrate their skill.
