Fired FBI agent who scolded Trump for “idiot” sues US

Peter Strzok, a dismissed senior member of the FBI’s American Investigation Service, has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government. The man wants his job back.

Strzok was fired in August 2018. According to his lawyer, this happened on the initiative of David Bowdich deputy director of the FBI. Strzok came under fire after calling President Donald Trump “an idiot” in a text message.

Following this announcement, Strzok was no longer allowed to participate in the investigation of possible Russian influence on the US elections in 2016.

That investigation is led by Robert Mueller. Strzok feels there was no reason to fire him and is now challenging his resignation through the court.
