Gyan reconsiders his decision on the mediation of the President of Ghana

Ghanaian football player Asamoah Gyan, who announced Tuesday his decision to end his international career has reversed his decision.

On his Twitter account, the captain of the Black Stars of Ghana explains that he could not ignore a request from the President of the Republic. A phone call from President Nana Akufo-Addo convinced him. “A presidential request is a demand that can not be ignored,” he said.

“I responded to the request of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in good faith and I will make myself available to be selected by coach Kwasi Appiah to help win the CAN

trophy,” he said.

The player also issued a statement that he shared with his country’s national football federation and the press. The captain’s armband awarded to Andre Ayew was behind the decision of the Black Stars center forward to stop his international career.
