I’m still a virgin and want a husband like Jay Z – Adokiye Kyrian

Adokiye Kyrian, a Nigerian singer, who surprised many people years ago when she declared that she was still a virgin. And that she would remain that way until her marriage. However, what is more confusing for people is that the singer often publishes sensual images on their social media pages. This led some to conclude that she could not be a virgin.

However, Adokiye explained to Sunday Scoop the reason for this. “These pictures are completely professional. I am an artist and creativity are part of my job. It is my duty to be a 100% professional. And if my profession implies that I pose sexually, I will do it because that is what I signed. Being sexual has nothing to do with my virginity. I am still a virgin and I will remain so until I get married,” said the singer.

“I do not know why people think that the entertainment industry is immoral. It’s a job like any other. Choosing to be a virgin was a decision I made for personal reasons. That I am a virgin does not mean that those who are not are bad or that I am better than them. I want to keep my virginity for my husband and this is my personal decision.”

Kyrian emphasized the qualities she wanted in her man
“I want someone who will understand what I am doing; a person who would not be threatened and who would stop me from doing my job. I want someone who will understand me as Jay Z understands Beyonce. He will have to understand that my job does not mean that I am a cheater or that I am someone who is everywhere. I want someone who will love me selflessly for who I am. He must be gentle, kind and God fearing.”

Adokiye also shared her thoughts on why women artists in the industry are not as successful. She said, “It’s not that female artists are not successful; it’s just that the people who make the decisions in the industry do not know that women artists need more attention. On the world stage, female artists generally receive a lot of attention. And that is why they always have more money than their male counterparts.”

Sexual harassment in the industry.
“I would not call it harassment. It is normal for a woman to obtain advances. It becomes harassment when you do not handle the situation well and the way you behave. I am a good girl and many people make fun of me – some politely, kindly and others roughly. But we must expect it,” she said.
