Lagertha returned to “Vikings” unrecognizable and emaciated

The fifth season is coming to an end and the protagonist of the series unveiled new images of the next chapters. SPOILER ALERT

In the series Vikings – which is in the second half of the fifth season – Lagertha reappeared after months, looking completely unrecognizable, dirty and emaciated.

Katheryn Winnick, the actress responsible for embodying the former queen of Kattegatt, shared some photos on her Instagram account. It can be seen stooped, with face and body covered with injuries; Red eyes and hair mixed and shorter. All this after having escaped the battle in which he saw his love die, Heahmund, at the hands of the men of King Harald’s army (Peter Franzeen).

In the most recent episode, Lagertha reminds the audience that she has the ability to succeed in times of adversity. And so, it will be, since the advances of the next chapters, show her wearing a crown and the royal attire.

The fifth instalment will end at the end of the month and the last and sixth season is expected to begin airing at the end of the year.
