A new ranking of Nigeria’s richest musicians has recently been unveiled. These people are big names in the Nigerian music industry who are the pride of their country both nationally and internationally.

Here are the 10 richest musicians in Nigeria in 2018:

10. Flavour and Olamide Adedeji (fortune 3.2 Billion Naira)

These two musicians occupy tenth place in this ranking. Flavour N’abania, whose real name is Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli, was born on November 23, 1983. He is not only a singer but also a multi-instrumentalist, a composer and a talented performer.

He began his career as a drummer in his local church in Enugu State. In 2005, he released his first album “N’abania”. Today, it is famous not only in Nigeria but throughout Africa and even around the world.

Olamide Adedeji

Olamide Adedeji, simply known as Olamide, is a budding star of Nigerian hip-hop music. He was born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos State. He sings particularly in his mother tongue, Yoruba. He was revealed to the general public in 2011 with the release of his first album “Rapsodi”.

The hit album was followed by the second album “YBNL”. He now has seven albums. He has won numerous awards at prestigious Nigerian and African ceremonies. He was also the first Nigerian celebrity to sign a contract with the Ciroc brand.

9. Banky W (Fortune 3.5 Billion Naira)

Banky W by his real name Olubankole Wellington is not only a singer and a rapper but he is also an actor. He was born in New York, United States, on March 27, 1981.

8. Timaya (fortune 4 Billion Naira)

The real name of Timaya is Enitimi Alfred Odom. He was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on August 15, 1980. He began his career as a singer and songwriter after the creation of his musical group “Dem Mama Soldiers.”

7. Paul Okoye (fortune 5.6 Billion Naira)

Seventh place is occupied by singer Paul Okoye, born November 18, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State.
