Mali has just registered its first two cases tested positive for coronavirus. They are two people of Malian nationality that returned from France

While its neighboring country has been affected a little more every day, Mali has long been spared from the coronavirus. However, it has just registered its first two confirmed positive cases of the virus.

It is a 49-year-old woman living in Bamako and a 62-year-old man living in Kayes, in western Mali. The two victims returned from France on March 12 and 16, 2020.

The Malian government has mobilized the first envelope of around 6 billion CFA francs and sent a request for assistance to foreign partners to cover the pandemic.
