Nigerians cheer Genevieve for her history with Netflix Nollywood film

Nollywood‘s popular actress, Genevieve Nnanji, has garnered Nigerians’ reactions online as a result of her new, historic achievement in the film industry around the world.

Genevieve recently wrote the story with her first film, Lionheart. The film, which debuted on Netflix Friday, is cantered on a woman who must commit to help manage her father’s properties. It became Netflix’s first original film from Nigeria.

The film, which revolves around the eastern region of Nigeria, had Nollywood veterans like Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Onyeka Onwenu, Kanayo O Kanayo, among others. Genevieve has since her debut on Friday stirred diverse reactions from Nigerians over the movie.
