Rwanda: the first female mechanic specialized in cycling

Cycling is the one of national sport of Rwanda. There is in this country a unique center in Africa, the Africa Cycling Rising Center.

In this center, the selections of riders train, but there is also a formed of team of technicians. Among them, there is a young female identify as Sandrine Uwayezu. At 22, she is a very young mechanic specializing in cycling.

Coming from a modest family, she is trained in this center for free (center supported financially by the Rwandan state) and earns an income that helps her family. She is the first woman to practice this activity in Rwanda, she is perhaps the first woman in Africa to practice and acquire such skills.
