Senegal: Khalifa Sall dismissed by the ECOWAS Court of Justice

Another setback for Khalifa Sall as his trial comes to an end, he has just been dismissed by the Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States.

The verdict fell on Tuesday after the January 30 hearing.

According to the Community courts, the urgency alleged by its counsel in deciding the application to annul the current proceedings is unfounded.

It remains to be decided on the merits of the case. But, no date has been advanced for the holding of the hearing.

Recall that in early January, the mayor of Dakar had brought an emergency procedure to this community jurisdiction, for the cancellation of the proceedings arguing that his rights were violated by the Senegalese justice.
