“The most creepy series ever”: “You” is the latest Netflix hype

Netflix beats the world’s successes with ‘Bird Box’ and ‘Bandersnatch’ the last weeks, but you may not know this new gem. ‘You’, a series about an extreme stalker, is seen by viewers as one of the most ‘creepy’ series ever.

Netflix released ‘You’ at the end of last year, a series based on the book of the same name by Caroline Kepnes. In two weeks’ time the series has become a straight-forward phenomenon. The series tells the story of Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley (Dan Humphrey in ‘Gossip Girl’). Joe meets a young writer Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) and immediately falls madly in love with her. But it does not take long before his infatuation turns into obsession.

Loving reviews
Viewers are already wildly enthusiastic and many call ‘You’ one of the creepiest TV shows ever. ‘You’ also receives favourable reviews on well-known rating sites. The series gets a score of 8.1 on IMDB and a top score of 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

And there is more good news, because Netflix has already announced a second season. The book by Caroline Kepnes also has a sequel, ‘Hidden Bodies’.
