She stressed that the Mediterranean diet is the best way to keep up morale, noting that it was also important to avoid overeating.

Conversely, according to her, foods high in fat and sugar create a bad mood.

What to eat to keep your spirits up

You need to eat more foods that contain serotonin, the hormone responsible for good mood, to overcome anxiety: these mainly concerned bananas, walnuts, and spinach.
