According to American media, the campaign for the re-election of Donald Trump has raised more than 30 million dollars since the beginning of this year.

The Republican leader has already raised more than 40 million dollars in total. With that, he has already taken a financial lead over his Democratic challengers. Nearly all donations to the Trump camp were $200 or less in the first quarter of this year, US media reported quoting campaign organizers.

According to CNN, in the race for the Democratic candidacy for the US presidential election of 2020, independent Senator Bernie Sanders (over $18 million) and Californian senator Kamala Harris

(about $12 million) made approximately the same number of donations in the first quarter of the year brought in as Trump alone. The primaries, in which the Democrats determine who will be their candidate for the presidency in November 2020, will only start next year.
