The public relations officer of Taraba State Police, David Misal, filed three suspects on Tuesday for the murder of a six-year-old girl for money rituals in the village of Sabongida Takai, Gassol local government.
Misal, who identified the criminals as Adamu Muhammad, Umaimatu Tanimu and Abdullah Abubarka, said that Ms. Umaimatu Tanimu lured the six-year-old girl to a bush inside the outskirts of the city, where she and Adam Muhammad slaughtered and disembowel her, removed her kidney and other organs for the rituals.
According to him, the duo later took the body parts to the third offender Abdullahi Abubarka as part of the requirements of the rituals.
Misal added that the suspects, knowing that their secret deal had been blown up, had fled the village, but later tracked down by a team of detectives. Since then they have confessed to the crime.
