Ghana: DJ Switch, the 10-year-old star with many awards (video)
DJ Switch is only 10 years old, but this girl is already a real phenomenon in Ghana and beyond the borders of her country.
From her real name Erica Tandoh, stage name by DJ Switch, started her musical career barely a year ago, but has already been awarded the Ghana DJ Awards 2018.
She won the title of Best Discovery of the Year. She also won the TV3 Talent Kids contest in 2017.
The young artist recently spoke about her passions and aspirations in an interview with the BBC.
“Being a young DJ is not so difficult. When you are taught at school, you learn quickly. It’s the same when you learn to become a DJ,” she said.
In addition to his talent as an artist, DJ Switch is gifted at school. She is also a dancer and plays several instruments; the trumpet, the drums and the piano.
However, she would like to become a gynecologist.
“Being a DJ is my passion, but I want to become a gynecologist because I want to help women,” she said.
